Amateur Photographer magazine: The best photos 2025

Amateur Photographer magazine has not only selected Regula Tschumi's book "Buried in Style" as one of the best photo books of 2025, but also listed her photographs with a coffin in the shape of a red fish made by the artist Eric Kpakpo as one of the best photos of the year.

Chromatic Awards 2025

For the second time Regula Tschumi is among the winners of the prestigious Chromatic Awards.

Her photograph titled «Fetching Water» won the 3rd place in the category travel (amateur) and «Dora Dora» received an Honorable Mention in the same category.

Both photos were exhibited in 2024 at the Magnin-A Gallery n Paris and are still sold there in a limited edition.

Best Photo Books 2025

Regula Tschumi's «Buried in Style», published by Kehrer Verlag in Germany, was selected by Gulnara Samoilova for Lens Culture and by the Amateur Photographer magazine for their list of the favorite and best photo books of the year 2025.

Dealing with Death and Transience

Regula Tschumi's photographs of Ghanaian funerals and figurative coffins are on display at the Kunsthalle Talstrasse in Halle (Saale in Germany) until February 15, 2026. 

This exhibition incorporates a wide variety of cultural and personal perspectives from different authors, creating a space for reflection and dialogue. The selection of works by curators Matthias Rataiczyk and Maximilian Fleischer ranges from impressive coffins from Ghana to contemporary artistic positions from central Germany.
 
A large catalogue has been published to accompany this exhibition, for which Regula Tschumi has also contributed a text and photographs.

One World Calendar OWC 2026

The OWC calendar is published annually by a consortium of non-profit organisations, whose partners include Cimade (France), CNCD (Belgium), Helvetas (Switzerland), and the New Internationalist (United Kingdom). 
 
For the edition 2026 which has the theme of 'Humans and Nature', the judges selected twelve photos from artists around the world. It features work by the following photographers:
Piper Mackay (cover photo), Andrew Newey, Ami Vitale, Yuriy Ogarkov (Helvetas replaced his photo with one by Patrick Rohr), Dilek F. Yurdakul (two photos), Xavier Desmier, Justin Jin, Matthieu Paley, Regula Tschumi, Alessandra Meniconzi and Zay Yar Lin.
 
Regula Tschumi is proud to be part of this 2026 OWC calendar project, showcasing her photograph 'A Delicate Balance', which she has made in Ghana in 2022.
The "One World Calendar" 2026 is now published and can be ordered all over Europe.
