African Traditional Churches

Christianity is the largest religion in Southern Ghana, and there are many different affiliations existing in the whole country.
Some of the small independent African churches are very strongly influenced by the traditional faith. As in the African belief systems, healing rituals and prophecies play an important role in their way of worshipping.
I regularly attend some of these African churches. I am interested to observe how they worship there and how their rituals are related with the traditional belief that I observe in some of the religious cult groups in Southern Ghana. My contacts to different priests and priestesses also help me to get permit to photograph in some churches.
